Larry Hagen
President / CEO: Lawrence graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Masters in Audiology. In 1982, he became Director of Product and Systems Development for Starkey Laboratories. He decided to leave and start his own hearing aid manufacturing company specializing in high frequency hearing loss. As President and CEO, he grew Micro-Tech into a 26 million dollar company that was purchased by Starkey Hearing. In 2005, Larry began SoundPoint Audiology, LLC and oversaw 24 hearing aid dispenser offices in four states. Upon the sale of SoundPoint, he became President/CEO of both AUDServ, Inc., a hearing clinic software development company, and Blue-Gear, Inc.
Ken Athmann
Chief Financial Officer: Ken started his career in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche, where he focused on auditing manufacturing and healthcare firms. Ken then partnered with Larry Hagen and has spent the last 15 years as the CFO in various hearing health care endeavors. At Micro-Tech he began as a cost accounting manager then spent eight years as the CFO. After the company was sold, Ken he spent 4 years as CFO at SoundPoint Audiology, that ran 25 hearing aid clinics in four states. He has also has headed up accounting for three start-up hearing aid companies. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting and is a CPA licensed in the State of Minnesota (inactive).
Johan Carlson
Vice President: He began his career at Micro-Tech Hearing Instruments working in both the marketing and engineering departments. He helped maintain the company quality management system and became a certified ISO lead auditor. Later, at Starkey Hearing, Johan was in charge of creating the design themes and graphics for executive, marketing and sales presentations, training videos and product materials.Johan left Starkey to become part owner and President of U-Phonx, a startup company that designed an innovative, well-fitting Bluetooth headset. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with B.A. Degrees in Psychology and Sociology and later earned a Degree in Graphic Design.
